Activities and Things to do
There is so much to do in the area. Or you can just switch off and immerse yourself in nature. Switch off the lights, check out the stars or watch the fireflies dance in the night sky. There several wine farms in the area including our lovely neighbours Packwood wine farm. Slightly further afield you have Luka, Bramon, Newstead and Kay and Monty vineyards. Adventure land waterpark, Knysna elephant park, Plett elephant sanctuary, the raptor sanctuary, wolf sanctuary, Knysna and Plett all within 25 minutes drive. The Harkerville hop was recently established by Plett Tourism as more and more activities and attractions spring up in the area.
The Barn
The barn is a converted stable block, with a large open plan living area with log burner and fully kitted out kitchen. Large french sliding doors open out onto a north facing veranda look out over the small dam to the mountains behind. There is a fire pit, excellent braai facilities and outdoor seating. There are two double ensuite bedrooms. There is safe and secure parking on site and although this property is on our farm you will have complete privacy during your stay but we are right there if you need assistance.
Our Trails
Simola trails are 35 minutes away. Further afield you have all the trails that George and Wilderness have offer to the West and Natures valley and Storms river to the East. Surrounding The Little Unknown are various walking trails that will attract both young and old with varying levels of difficulty. We are minutes walk from the famous Fisanthoek Hiking hut where avid explorers camp overnight as they tackle endless hikes.
